WyoFile is non-partisan public service journalism, focused on politics
and public policy. Our goal is to supplement Wyoming's news media with in-depth
coverage and insightful commentary on issues critical to Wyoming residents. Our
name is a play on words that reflects our journalistic purpose and our love for
our unique and beautiful mountain state.
Leading WyoFile coverage is a team of Wyoming-based columnists, all
experts in their fields. Samuel Western, longtime correspondent
for the Economist and author of the provocative book, Pushed Off the Mountain, Sold
Down the River: Wyoming's Search for Its Soul, writes on economic issues. Deb
Donahue, University of Wyoming law professor and national expert on
property, keeps us current on state legal trends. Jason Marsden,
environmental journalist and activist, probes Wyoming's physical and political ecology.
Marguerite Herman, longtime Associated Press Cheyenne correspondent
and League of Women Voters representative, writes on politics. Geoff O'Gara,
Wyoming PBS producer and author of several books on the state, explores a wide range
of Wyoming cultural phenomena. Brodie Farquhar, a veteran natural
resources reporter, writes on outdoors issues.
WyoFile's editor is retired Los Angeles Times national and foreign
correspondent Rone Tempest, who lives in Lander. For more extensive biographical
information on our contributors see Wyofile team.
WyoFile is underwritten by Cheyenne publisher Christopher Findlater.
For 2008, WyoFile stories and columns are FREE to Wyoming media-- just give us appropriate
credit.
