It’s not “anti-industry” to understand the reality of climate change and to advocate for policies and investments that cut the carbon footprint of fossil fuels.

Energy policy: Take it from Wyoming
In reality, the question we must wrestle with is how much environmental degradation are we willing to accept on our public lands and in the air we breath? It appears that Wyoming’s elected leaders do not want to have that conversation. Instead, Gov. Mead and his fellow Republican governors put out a “state-centric” energy policy for the entire nation — a hubristic approach to energy policy for a nation that the world looks to for leadership.

Sen. Enzi: China wants to own our energy
On the state senate floor, U.S. Sen. Mike Enzi, a Republican, recalled the 1970s oil embargo. “The price (of gasoline) went from 25 cents a gallon to $1 a gallon overnight. … That’s where we’re going to be with energy if we don’t start developing our own energy,” Enzi told Wyoming lawmakers.
