Sheridan College adds firearms training as community course

The age when a person can legally carry a concealed weapon in Wyoming will change from 21 to 18 on July 1. The change comes after the Legislature approved and Gov. Mark Gordon signed a bill into law this year. In 2025, the Legislature passed a law allowing concealed carry in schools, government buildings, colleges and university sporting events that do not serve alcohol. Cheyenne train engineer faces multiple charges after 8-hour ordeal

A train engineer has been booked into the Laramie County Detention Center after reportedly operating a 12,755-foot-long freight train carrying hazardous materials while under the influence of drugs and terrorizing a coworker during an eight-hour journey from Nebraska to Cheyenne. Kristopher Richards faces charges of reckless endangering, being under the influence of a controlled substance, interference with a peace officer and stalking.
