Wyoming: Confirmed cases of COVID-19: 53.
By county: New cases were reported in Fremont, Laramie, Johnson, Natrona, Teton and Albany. Fremont and Laramie have the most cases with 14 each, while Teton has 7, Natrona 6, Sheridan 4, Carbon 3 and Albany, Campbell, Park, Johnson and Sweetwater 1 each.
Testing: 1,105 tests had been administered and processed, according to the Wyoming Department of Health.
United States: 69,210 confirmed cases, according to Johns Hopkins Institute. Total deaths: 1,046 — Total recoveries: 619.
The latest: The state’s confirmed cases experienced an increase of 89% this week, from 28 on Monday to 53 on Thursday. During a press conference Wednesday, Gov. Mark Gordon said he is working to avoid a shelter-in-place order, but emphasized the need for people to voluntarily stay home. “We are trying not to shut down Wyoming,” he said.
More news:The Department of Education announced that students in public schools will not have to make up classroom time lost to school closures prior to April 3. Six Wyoming newspapers are cutting hours, pay or staff due to the outbreak’s economic fallout. Devils Tower National Monument closed to visitors on Wednesday.

Pseudonyms. WyoFile stands behind everything we publish, and we expect commenters to do the same by using their real name.
Comments that are not directly relevant to the article.
Demonstrably false claims, what-about-isms, references to debunked lines of rhetoric, professional political talking points or links to sites trafficking in misinformation.
Personal attacks, profanity, discriminatory language or threats.
Arguments with other commenters.

Other important things to know:

Appearing in WyoFile’s comments section is a privilege, not a right or entitlement.
We’re a small team and our first priority is reporting. Depending on what’s going on, comments may be moderated 24 to 48 hours from when they’re submitted — or even later. If you comment in the evening or on the weekend, please be patient. We’ll get to it when we’re back in the office.
We’re not interested in managing squeaky wheels, and even if we wanted to, we don't have time to address every single commenter’s grievance.
Try as we might, we will make mistakes. We’ll fail to catch aliases, mistakenly allow folks to exceed the comment limit and occasionally miss false statements. If that’s going to upset you, it’s probably best to just stick with our journalism and avoid the comments section.
