For three decades, Jason Shogren has held the Stroock Chair of Natural Resource Conservation and Management and been a Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics at the University of Wyoming, his alma mater. He was a member of the Wyoming Environmental Quality Council and is currently serving as a board member on the Governor's Wyoming Arts Council. He was a lead author on the IPCC III Report on Climate Change, which was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007. After his time as the senior economist for environmental affairs at the Council of Economic Advisers in the White House, he served ten years on the school board for Albany County.
