Lawmakers who write the state’s budget took a field trip Thursday. Members of the Joint Appropriations Committee were picked up by a Laramie County School District #1 yellow school bus during their midday break from crafting the state’s budget and working various finance-related pieces of legislation. They left the Jonah Business Center, Wyoming’s temporary capitol building, and traveled to a local elementary school to survey maintenance concerns at the request of House Appropriations Committee Chairman Bob Nicholas.
