Cracks in the Teapot
The election of President Obama, concomitantly resulting in the electoral defeat of Sarah Palin, has galvanized fringe segments of our population to emerge from caves and burrows and apparently provided them excuses to repeal all rules and traditions of: good manners, proper grammar, Christian indulgence, respectful disagreement, loyal opposition, reflection upon meaning before opening one’s oral cavity to utter banalities usually heard only from insolent drunks, and embarrassing pandering.
Tea Party, hello? The teapot is cracking: Joe Barton apologizing to BP, that crazy woman in Utah talking about “Second Amendment Remedies”, Glenn Beck (desperate for visibility) denouncing soccer as an international plot.
The teapot is developing leaks about as fast as BP’s runaway well.
