Fire forces evacuation of Sinks Canyon campgrounds and Homestead Park cabins

(Press Release) The Forest Service is now evacuating the Homestead Park summer homes as well as all Sinks Canyon campgrounds, which will remain closed until further notice.  This evacuation is due to a fire in close proximity to Homestead Park.

For information about fire conditions on the Shoshone National Forest, contact your local ranger district:

·         Washakie Ranger District – (307) 332-5460

·         Clarks Fork, Greybull, and Wapiti Ranger Districts – (307) 527-6921
