Evanston police arrest Uinta County commissioner

A Uinta County commissioner was arrested last week on suspicion of domestic battery. Mark Anderson, of Evanston, was arrested Dec. 5, after police responded to his home for a report of domestic violence. Details are unclear as the Evanston Police Department declined a request for the incident report, the Uinta County Herald reports. Trial date set in 2026 for lawsuit over Teton County housing fees

The constitutionality of affordable and workforce housing fees charged in Teton County will be weighed in a three-day jury trial next year. The Wyoming District Court scheduled the trial for Sept. 21 in Cheyenne. Teton County residents Shelby and Trey Scharp filed the lawsuit, with the help of the Pacific Legal Foundation, which contends the fees are illegal and unfairly put the onus of subsidizing housing on private landowners.
