Casper craft brewery announces closure amid growing suds slump

The taps of one of Casper’s pioneering craft breweries are about to go dry. Frontier Brewing Company and Taproom’s plan to shutter Dec. 6 comes amid a worldwide beer sales slowdown, Oil City News reports. One of America’s original craft breweries, Rogue Brewing in Oregon, closed without warning last month after nearly four decades in business. Sheridan renews 55 liquor licenses

The Sheridan City Council has unanimously renewed 55 of the city’s liquor licenses, allocated to a variety of businesses including retail sales, restaurants and breweries, among others. The licenses, city clerk Ashlee Foster estimated, generated between $60,000 and $62,000 in revenue for the city this year. The renewals come during a year in which there have been no citations issued for license violations, such as selling alcohol to a minor, The Sheridan Press reports. Read the full story.
