Meteorologist Christopher Jones of the Riverton National Weather Service office, will discuss severe weather, how to spot it coming, and its consequences. The free presentation will be 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, in Room 70 of the NWC Fagerberg Building at Northwest College.

Participants in this program can become an authorized volunteer weather spotter or simply enjoy an exciting multi-media display of exceptional weather.

Jones will teach how to identify cloud elements indicative of impending severe weather conditions. Trained weather spotters provide critical observations that help the National Weather Service’s mission of protecting lives and property.

Registration for the free program is not required, but would be appreciated. Call Powell Valley Community Education at 307-754-6469 or visit www.MoreLearningFun.net to sign up online.
