Hanging baskets of annuals dominate the garden at Twigs in Jackson. (Angus M. Thuermer Jr./WyoFile)

With the summer in full swing, merchants and homeowners in Jackson pretty their places for the onrush of tourists, friends and family. At Twigs, hanging baskets of annuals dominate the garden with splashes of colors.

The flower and garden center did a land-office business in recent weeks as patrons flocked to get their summer flora planted after a somewhat miserable spring. It’s warm enough to finally leave tomatoes plants exposed at night and the rhubarb has grown tall. Hummingbirds have been buzzing for weeks.
