Josh Allen’s jersey becomes first in UW football history to be retired

Josh Allen received an ecstatic welcome Saturday when he returned to the University of Wyoming, where he played from 2015 to 2017. The star quarterback has since become one of the NFL’s best players. Fremont County eyes sales tax to secure ambulance service

Wyoming’s rural nature makes for-profit ambulances difficult to operate, and counties typically have to pitch in a little extra money to make up the difference. Service was better to many outlying areas in Fremont County, according to a new report, because public ambulances responded to those calls. Gillette advances repeal of malicious harms ordinance

After more than an hour of public comment and debate, the Gillette City Council voted 4-3 last week to repeal the city’s malicious harms ordinance on second reading. The repeal now moves to a third and final reading. Most speakers urged the council to keep the hate crimes ordinance, arguing that removing it would harm the city’s reputation, weaken protections for vulnerable residents and signal that Gillette is “going backwards,” County 17 reports.
