Carbon Sink art censorship discussion continues at WNYC
Prompted by WyoFile’s feature essay, “Behind the Carbon Curtain; Art and Freedom in Wyoming,” WNYC’s Studio 360 has published its own story about art, censorship and the influential roles of powerful entities. Check out the audio and written story, “Disputed Art Disappears from University Campus.” A lively discussion is taking place in the comments section, including a lengthy comment by Wyoming House Rep. Tom Lubnau (R-Gillette).
One clarification is in order; Wyoming’s energy industry is referred to as donors, when in fact the discussion of influence stems from the mass amount of revenue from various taxes on the energy industries. Those are public dollars spent at the discretion of our elected officials.
