The summer season begins at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West in Cody, Wyoming, May 1, when hours expand from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. The schedule remains in effect through mid-September.

For the summer season, the Center of the West plans three new special exhibitions, all opening in June: Wyoming Grasslands: Photographs by Michael Berman and William Sutton opens June 5 and runs through August 15; Painted Journeys: The Art of John Mix Stanley opens June 6 and runs through August 29; and Adornment in the West: The American Indian as Artist opens June 19 and runs through October 10. The popular exhibition, Journeying West: Firearms from the Smithsonian, continues at least through October 2015.

Admission to the Center is good for two consecutive days and includes all five museums for one price. Tickets are available for purchase online — and at a discount — at tickets.centerofthewest.org. Center of the West members are always admitted free of charge.
