Morning Commute – Hot Springs State Park

Hot Springs State Park
North of Thermopolis, WY there are two turnouts on the highway that overlook Hot Springs State Park where the warm water flows out of “Big Spring” and into cooling ponds called terraces. When it overflows into the Big Horn River it freezes into the beautiful ice falls. The warm water also creates rising steam. (Mary Gordon – click to enlarge)
